The rows of embassy housing for the Federation core planets had a small school nestled within it. While it was started for children of embassy employees, diplomats and ambassadors, it was mostly populated by children of parents who worked and went to the academy. The classed tended to skew human, even if the instructors were as diverse as the Federation itself.

Even in uniform, Jim felt out of place pushing past the gated entrance and climbing the few stone steps to the front door. A chime rang as soon as his feet hit the top step. He hadn't been able to drop Savel off this morning with Bones which rankled even hours later, but he could do this. The hurried steps coming up behind him could only be Bones catching up to him.

"No comm can only be a good thing, right?"

"Unless he took over the class and subdued the teachers..." Leonard jokes still wearing his doctor's coat. "Think he was trying not to cry when I dropped him off." He says easily. "I'm sure he had a good day." He says though he sounds like he's trying to convince himself. Savel is a good kid but can be a handful.

"We'll go out to lunch if he had a good day." He says as they move toward the classroom, he takes Jim's hand and laces their fingers together.

Bones smiles and they move into the classroom, he picks up Sav's backpack watching the boy for a moment. "How'd he do today?"
